Four more Israeli hostages held by Hamas are now believed to have died while being held by the terror group, says the Israel Defense Forces. 

Under U.S. President Joe Biden’s proposal on Friday to end the Israeli-Hamas war it is unclear whether those dead hostages would be returned to their loved ones in phase one of the deal or phase three. 

The uncertain fate of the hostages is just one of the heavy costs Israel will likely have to shoulder as the clamour from the international community grows for a ceasefire in Gaza.
