I was a proud participant in this year’s Walk with Israel in Toronto, together with about 50,000 others. While there were protesters objecting to our presence, the police and security presence allowed the event to be carried off without outbreaks of violence or confrontations between people carrying different flags. The genuine harm caused this year was done, not by anti-Israel protesters during the event, but after the fact by The Canadian Press.
