In the Season 36 finale of The Simpsons, titled “Estranger Things,” a sequence set 35 years into the future reveals that the blue-haired matriarch has died. A funeral scene shows the family at Marge’s grave, and we hear a parody song from Sarah McLachlan reveal that Bart and Lisa have grown apart — despite their mother’s efforts.
