From thick and meaty, square-cut Regina-style and Montreal’s all-dressed to Nova’s Scotia’s Pictou County brown-sauce and donair-topped pies, Canadian pizza has its own unique personality. Like so much else in Canada, that uniqueness can vary from region to region.

Windsor pizza, topped with shredded pepperoni, canned mushrooms and locally made cheese, may not be as famous as the rectangular pan pizzas across the border in Detroit. Despite its lower profile, it has devoted fans who have it shipped nationwide. A Windsor-style pizza place even opened outside the city in 2021, selling fresh and frozen pies in downtown Toronto.
