Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s long overdue reforms allowing grocery, convenience and big box stores to sell beer, wine and canned cocktails have been a boon to consumers, who are no longer forced to trek to an LCBO outlet or a dingy Beer Store to pick up a six pack. But another outdated government program is threatening to undo the hard-fought changes.
