The expansion of the Trans Mountain pipeline may not be the last oil pipeline to be built in Canada, if the country’s politicians accept that it is okay to develop resources responsibly for the world, said Ian Anderson, the company’s long-time chief executive.

“Are we going to consume fewer fossil fuels as we age? I hope so. I hope we make that transition but it’s going to take decades to get there. In the meantime, let’s be proud of the riches we have,” he said.
