The 26th annual Interior Design Show returned in late January to the 180,000-square-foot North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
It’s been tough sledding for the show over the two and half decades it’s been in business, since the relatively small Canadian market requires it to cast a broad net in order to stay solvent. Unlike other shows of its type, it caters to both the consumer and trade markets, balancing the difference by presenting separate “trade” and “consumer” days. It has also unofficially tended to lean to the consumer-friendly subfield of residential design, while acknowledging other branches of the industry like hotel and hospitality.
