Benjamin Perrin, a law professor at the University of British Columbia and former criminal justice and public safety advisor to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, appeared before the parliamentary committee investigating this country’s opioid and toxic drug crisis on June 3 to accuse the Conservatives of spreading misinformation, piously unaware he was engaging in that very activity.
