Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says although she once spoke positively of carbon rebates, the rising cost of the federal tax means Prime Minister Justin Trudeau can no longer justify it.

The United Conservative premier was responding to Trudeau’s comments earlier Friday that she appeared to have flip-flopped on the issue.
