Just the other day, I was chatting with a friend, a fellow Albertan, about which part of Canada is psychically furthest away from us: of which province’s culture, character, history and overall vibe we have the least knowledge. We settled on New Brunswick, as maybe you would too. Whoever designed the place just kinda forgot to put in the public-relations apparatus that other provinces have evolved naturally. It now seems necessary to add this as a personal disclaimer to a discussion of Thursday’s intriguing ruling from the New Brunswick Court of Appeal.
