MONTREAL — CF Montreal’s bye week gave head coach Laurent Courtois a chance to step back, assess his team and chart a plan for the rest of the season as the Major League Soccer midway mark approaches.

And more importantly, it allowed Montreal’s long list of injured players time to recover.
