OTTAWA – Immigration Minister Marc Miller announced Monday that the current 1,000-person cap on a program that allows Gazans with a connection to Canada to come here on a temporary visa will be increased to 5,000.

Miller said his government is doing everything it can to help people in Gaza flee the territory, but he cautioned that many of those issues are out of the government’s control.
