MDA Space, a Brampton, Ont.-based company, has just been awarded a $1-billion contract by the Canadian Space Agency to develop and deliver Canadarm3. The robotic manipulator arm is a component of the Gateway space station that will serve as a waystation for future missions to the moon and perhaps Mars.
