Best Buy’s electronic recycling trade-in program offers Canadians an opportunity to part with their old (working) electronics and get rewarded with a gift card to use towards a future Best Buy purchase. The Swap and Save Event runs from April 22 to May 2.
The brand has teamed up with collection agency PRA and Canada’s largest battery recycling program Call2Recycle to help recycle a range of old unwanted products from electronics to cords to batteries. Just drop your unwanted items at a Best Buy near you (first remove your data) and chat with a rep to assess the value of your device. Age, condition and original accessories included will affect the trade-in value. Consider this a simple way to contribute to a more circular economy and bonus cash to put towards a new device.
