It’s that time again. You need a perfect summer read. Not too heavy, not too light, solid human interest, above all a page-turner. Here it is: wine critic Natalie MacLean’s 2023 memoir, “Wine Witch on Fire: Rising From the Ashes of Divorce, Defamation, and Drinking Too Much.”
Author of two previous books, online wine course instructor and wine reviewer, MacLean is a celebrity in her domain. She has won four awards for journalism from the James Beard Foundation. The New York Times placed her podcast, “Unreserved Wine Talk,” amongst its top picks, and Apple included it in its list of best podcasts. Most recently, in March, Wine Growers Canada, which represents wineries throughout the country, bestowed its Canadian Wine Industry Champion Award on her.
