Andre De Grasse doesn’t spend a whole lot of time relishing his own history.

He’ll leave that for others to explain. Now a father of two, turning 30 after the Paris Olympics, De Grasse heads to a Summer Games for the third time in his magnificent sprinting career, in search of new highlights, podium visits and more sporting glory.

The odds, as usual, are against him. He’s too small, they used to say, eight inches shorter than Usain Bolt. He’s too thin, 50 pounds lighter than Donovan Bailey. He doesn’t look like a sprinter — until the race begins and all doubt is removed.
