Moldova’s parliamentary elections last weekend delivered a clear victory to pro-western voices in the small, but strategically-important eastern European nation. Although Russia invested years, and allegedly hundreds of millions of euros, into destabilizing the country, it failed to install a pro-Kremlin government, suggesting that Moscow’s regional influence is waning.
