It looks like it is last orders for the Queen Vic in EastEnders and perhaps one cast member - as the famous soap boozer bursts into flames.
New photos show how the EastEnders 40th anniversary storyline will feature the focal point in Walford on fire after an explosion. And in one image a soap character can be seen on the floor nearby to the flames, which could spell danger. A show insider said: "The Queen Vic explodes as part of the show's red hot storyline in the coming days. It comes after a car smashes into the pub and is sure to cause chaos and might mean the end of the road for at least one star."
This is not the first time the Queen Vic has gone up in flames. In Septemebt 2010 it famously had Queen Vic fire week which saw Phil Mitchell set the pub on fire, almost killing infant Lily Branning in the process. Landlady Peggy left in the aftermath. Up to ten million viewers watched the episodes on BBC One.
Other leaked photos show the pub is boarded up after the explosion with flowers laid outside, apparently in tribute to someone following their death.
Some fans have shared a new theory after seeing a video on TikTok. The video shared includes scenes from a specific episode that aired in December, with it questioning whether certain scenes were a foreshadowing of what was ahead.
Fans will remember the episode referenced as it was the one that saw Linda Carter 'killed off' after her alcoholism plot took a dark turn. In the episode we saw Linda seeing her future if she continued to drink, with her family mourning her loss and attending her funeral.
Asked about the 40th anniversary and the upcoming live episode, Kellie Bright who plays Linda Carter told Radio Times: "I sent executive producer Chris Clenshaw a text on my first day of filming for that week.
"It just said, 'This is so exciting, I think I might wet myself.' Because I genuinely was beside myself, as a viewer and as someone who loves the show. I still get excited about it – and that’s pretty cool after over 11 years."
* EastEnders airs at 7:30pm on BBC One and on BBC iPlayer from 6am
