Nordlys was born out of a love and appreciation for the northwest Wisconsin wilderness. The owners had a small cabin on nearby Wood Lake and wanted to share the beauty of the area. They found the perfect 140-acre parcel of land and recruited a Twin Cites architect to design two Scandinavian masterpieces. The glassy MetalLark puts the living area on the second floor for a bird's-eye view of a sweeping meadow, while the low-profile LongHouse nestles in the woods overlooking a lake.
