Tennessee’s ban against medically sex transitioning minors has been upheld at the Supreme Court. In a 6-3 opinion written by Chief Justice John Roberts, the court found that the lower court’s decision should not be subject to a heightened scrutiny standard. The ban will stand under the lower, rational basis standard the majority of Justices agreed should be applied.
