President Donald Trump could become the first commander-in-chief to champion, implement, and lead on the issue of artificial intelligence. Over the past year, dating back to the 2024 election, Trump has emphasized the importance of the United States being the world’s AI leader, whether the country wants to or not. To usher in the Made in America AI era, the White House unveiled an “action plan” that aims to ensure US dominance in this field.

The Trump administration unveiled a 28-page AI Action Plan on July 23. This is a blueprint containing 90 measures for “near-term execution” by the federal government to rapidly develop and implement technology that experts say is the fourth industrial revolution. Here is a breakdown of some of the paper’s measures:

Michael Kratsios, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy director, asserted the urgency of making President Trump’s AI “vision a reality.” White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks says the United States is in an AI race that will present “profound ramifications for both the economy and for national security.”

He also emphasized the need to adopt a single federal regulatory framework, rather than relying on the 50 states, a stance that many Republican lawmakers have criticized. “We can’t have a state with standards so high that it is going to hold you up,” the president added.

Remember when Google’s Gemini produced AI-generated images of the Founding Fathers and they were black? Remember when ChatGPT made fun of President Trump but not former President Joe Biden or former Vice President Kamala Harris? Remember when … uh, okay. Never mind. Since the revolution began a few years ago, there have been many examples of AI being woke.

Trump wants to stop it before AI metastasizes into a blue-haired sociology student from Evergreen College sporting a Kamala Harris T-shirt and declaring Barbie as the greatest 21st-century film. In addition to releasing an action plan and delivering a speech, the president signed a series of executive orders targeting “woke” artificial intelligence models.

Liberty Nation depends on the support of our readers.

One executive order mandates that AI companies receiving federal funding must maintain politically neutral models and ensure they are free of “ideological dogmas such as DEI [diversity, equity, and inclusion].” The executive order notes that the federal government should refrain from regulating AI in the private sector. Still, the directive states that public procurement requires “the obligation not to procure models that sacrifice truthfulness and accuracy to ideological agendas.”

The two other orders frame the technology as a geopolitical contest and call for deregulation in AI development.

No matter how much consternation the public feels over artificial intelligence, the reality is that it will be the future of the nation and the world, affecting everything from economics to societal trends. Pandora’s Box was opened, and there is no going back. The globe has been given a glimpse of what AI, robotics, and automation can do – and now every country wants a piece of the action. Trumponomics 2.0 attempts to place the United States at the forefront of superintelligence.
