A George Soros-backed district attorney is vowing to wage a prosecutorial war against US Immigration and Customs (ICE) enforcement agents and any National Guard troops who may be deployed to his city. Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner has pledged to go after “people who commit crimes wearing a uniform,” likening them to ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who is serving a 22 ½-year prison sentence for murder in the death of George Floyd in 2020.

Krasner’s eye-opening interview with MSNBC, posted Aug. 31, provided a disturbing look into an urban progressive mindset. He appears to believe those who oppose his agenda on mass immigration and “decarceration” should be brutalized by the criminal justice system operating in blue-run cities.

“In the same way that Derek Chauvin is now sitting in jail for decades for the torture and murder of George Floyd, we have to be evenhanded,” declared Krasner, who has been in office since 2018. “We have to believe in equality. We have to prosecute people who commit crimes.”

“I can give you examples of specific laws in Pennsylvania, and there are equivalent laws in almost all jurisdictions that would apply here. And they have penalties that include the possibility of jail,” he continued. “And prosecutors in most states have a right to demand a jury trial.”

Krasner then revealed that as DA of a Democrat-run city, he is fully confident that he can count on local jurors to back him in his punitive crusade.

“Nobody in Philadelphia is gonna sit on a jury and tolerate law enforcement killing people, assaulting people, unlawfully detaining or arresting people in violation of the law when it’s a crime. You know, crimes like official oppression, which is a Pennsylvania statute.”

Krasner seems to be playing the racial animus card to the hilt with his use of the term “oppression.” As MSNBC host Eugene Daniels introduced Krasner, Daniels painted a grim picture of “military troops who carry out [President Donald] Trump’s authoritarian plans,” targeting “more cities led by Democrats and black mayors.”

Throwing Chauvin and Floyd into the fray further stirred the bitter enmity.

Later in the interview, Krasner upped the ante, further stoking the fires of racial and class divisiveness. “This is not Donald Trump against a mayor or against a DA. This is Donald Trump against everybody who is broke, working class, black, brown. In other words, all the voters he hates,” he proclaimed.

Krasner also unmistakably threatened the personal safety of ICE and National Guard personnel by stating that the conflict between his blue city and the federal government amounted to a “war” against monsters.

“This is pretty simple from the perspective of our residents in Philadelphia,” he exclaimed. “Bring your video camera. If you’re being messed with by the National Guard, you don’t know if it’s illegal or not. You don’t know how far it’s gonna go. Video it.”

“And if you’re standing by,” said Krasner, “video it. This is a party that is at war with the truth. This is a president who is at war with the truth. So bring the light. Vampires don’t like light, and neither does Donald Trump.”

So a sitting district attorney in one of America’s leading cities has labeled federal immigration agents and citizens who serve in state militias as “vampires.” What is he trying to incite here?

In keeping with the heavy-handed propaganda campaign being run by a complicit Big Media, MSNBC co-host Jacqueline Alemany regaled Krasner with “facts” about the astonishing decline in crime in Democrat-run cities. Perhaps the 58 people shot in Chicago over Labor Day weekend, at least eight fatally, just haven’t gotten the good news yet.

“DA Krasner, I want to ask you about Philadelphia being a part of this cohort of what criminologists have called the Great Murder Decline,” said Alemany. “That’s Baltimore, New Orleans, Detroit, New York, where there have been marked drops in homicides.”

Krasner replied by taking a victory lap for his decarceration agenda.

As Liberty Nation News has documented, the police union in Washington, DC, has accused officials in the Democrat-run city of manipulating crime stats by downgrading serious offenses to lesser charges. This would be a pretty easy tactic to employ when, to begin with, you’re actively seeking to keep criminals out of jail.

Dominant media outlets would have you believe that Krasner has worked a miracle in reducing crime in Philadelphia through his radical programs, which include cashless bail and other means to keep those who break the law out of jail.

“The past couple years have seen crime rates falling in Philadelphia – and elsewhere – while the city’s jail population is down by almost half in the past decade,” the Associated Press said in May when Krasner won the Democratic primary, thus assuring a third four-year term as DA.

A man who was thrust into office due in large part to the lavish donations of progressive globalist billionaire George Soros, Krasner is seemingly attempting to cook up a racial war between the residents of his city, federal immigration agents, and National Guard personnel. The struggles in the nation’s cities seem to run far deeper than most Americans realize.
