Why are judges in Baltimore County, Maryland, handing out extraordinarily lenient sentences to illegal aliens convicted of sex crimes?

“Public records show that Baltimore County State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger’s office filed 99 child sex crime cases between January 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024,” Fox45 TV in Baltimore reported on July 17. “Nearly 10% of the child sex cases in Baltimore County, involving nine defendants over a 17-month period, involved illegal [aliens] from Central American countries.”

The station highlighted three convicted illegal alien sex offenders who were allowed to remain threats to the general public by Baltimore County judges:

It’s not merely a matter of wokeness gone wild. Fox45 states that “several” of the 99 child sex crime cases “involving African American defendants resulted in harsher sentences.” Baltimore County has gone far out of its way to treat illegal aliens with kid gloves.

“According to ICE data, Baltimore County dismisses about 70% of their detainers,” Fox45 reported on June 4. “Between Oct. 2022 and Sept. 2023, ICE claims 57 undocumented immigrants facing criminal charges were placed back on Baltimore County’s streets instead of in ICE’s custody.”

Child rape is not a good PR look. Publicly embarrassed by a spate of media reports, county officials are now vowing to work better with ICE. But the pressing question remains: How has this been allowed to happen in the first place?

As Liberty Nation News documented last October, the notorious and progressive globalist billionaire George Soros singled out Baltimore for special attention. His Open Society Foundation’s money machine opened its “only US field office” in Charm City in 1997. So-called “decarceration” and support for illegal aliens moving into the area were two key functions of the Open Society Institute’s Baltimore operation, which closed in early 2023 after 25 years of aggressive activism in Maryland’s largest city.

Diana Morris founded and served as director of this Soros satellite from its inception until she stepped aside in June 2019. After he first won election as Baltimore County Executive in 2018, Democrat Johnny Olszewski, Jr. chose this top Soros staffer to be a member of his official transition team.

Olszewski was a stout defender of illegals from the beginning of his tenure. When then-President Donald Trump in 2019 declared that ICE would soon start deporting “millions of illegal aliens,” Olszewski joined other Democrat elected officials in the region to assure illegals they were safe. “Diverse communities are vibrant communities, and we welcome immigrants and the vibrancy they bring to our jurisdictions,” a statement read, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Olszewski also stressed that a 2017 executive order signed by a predecessor barring county agencies and law enforcement from inquiring about immigration status would remain in effect under his watch. “Our police department will not provide any assistance during immigration enforcement raids, nor will the department assist with any civil or administrative actions. Our diversity is our greatest strength and Baltimore County continues to stand with our immigrant communities,” he exclaimed.

And now, having helped bring so much danger and turmoil to the citizens of Baltimore County, Olszewski, who likes to be called by the folksy nickname “Johnny O,” has his eyes on Washington. In May, he won the Democrat nomination for a US House seat in the overwhelmingly blue state.

“With democracy under attack and extremists threatening to take away our basic rights, it’s clear that the time is now for a new generation of leadership,” his campaign website states. He even touts his efforts to enact “police reform” on the front of the site.

Olszewski, 41, is a budding career politician who was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates at the age of 23. Promoting safe harbor for illegal aliens in Baltimore County helped him take another step up the ladder. When the coddling of child sex criminals in his county became a political liability this summer, he carefully sought to tiptoe away from his previous official acts while still preserving his progressive bona fides. This is how an ambitious young man makes it all the way to the halls of Congress from a blue state like Maryland.
