A big bulging bill – some say it’s beautiful, but not everyone thinks so – kicked off a contentious weekend for President Donald Trump and Elon Musk. The former head slicer and dicer of DOGE says there’s just too much pork for his liking. And, in case you missed it, former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre boogied right out of the Democratic Party and into the arms of independents – the left-leaning ones, of course. Fresh out of the West Wing, the former Biden administration lackey now has a tell-all book to hawk. Oh, and just in time for the Western world’s celebration of “Pride Month,” guess who is headed to the shores of Gaza? Our favorite climate activist, Greta Thunberg! From government officials past and present to international activists, it seems nobody can act like adults.

The bromance between Elon Musk and Donald Trump hit a snag last week. Like a screen door banging away in a hurricane, the two exchanged a chaotic flurry of messages on X and Truth Social. It all started with Musk’s dislike of the reconciliation bill, but it quickly escalated.

From there, it got weird. Musk roasted Trump and the members of Congress who voted for the bill or were planning to, leading the president to post on Truth Social, saying Musk had seen the bill. Trump later said the billionaire’s departure from the administration was less friendly than it had previously appeared. Musk went on to accuse the chief executive of being in the Epstein files and supported a call for his impeachment.

“What a bone head move,” wrote Julie Shaks of Danville, IN.

So, Karine Jean-Pierre has a book coming out – Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines – which promises to be, as New York magazine put it, “a tell-all that doubles as a political conversion story.” And she announced it right after declaring her exodus from the Democratic Party and her new status as an independent. How convenient. By the way, that New York article was titled “What Is Karine Jean-Pierre Thinking?” That’s the question on the lips of many these days.

Her former colleagues didn’t hold back. “She had meltdowns after any interview,” one former co-worker explained in a Townhall interview, adding that she didn’t know how to manage a team and that she created more problems than she solved. She was, the person said, “one of the most ineffectual and unprepared people I’ve ever worked with.”

Dina Williams Fryman of Decatur, IL, asked: “So where were these people before?” Toni Rossi of Minneapolis, MN, at least had an idea about where she was heading: “She’ll be a Fox News anchor soon. She’s beautiful and I can’t wait to see this Fox on Fox News.” Well, at least she’ll be well-scripted should Toni’s prediction come true.

Remember Greta Thunberg? Well, she has set sail again – this time, she’s headed for Gaza. Thunberg and 11 other activists boarded a ship operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition named The Madleen and set out for Gaza with relief supplies. They could arrive any day now, but there’s a little hitch in the plan: The IDF says it has no intention of allowing them to make port. How dare they!?

If you find yourself once again asking where on God’s still-green Earth are this girl’s parents, well, she’s 22 now – one of the “adults.” Oh boy.

“The world cannot be silent bystanders,” the young activist declared. “We are seeing a systematic starvation of 2 million people. Every single one of us has a moral obligation to do everything we can to fight for a free Palestine.”

“She’s sailing to Gaza like it’s some sort of idyllic holiday destination,” said Sky News Australia host Danica De Giorgio, the New York Post reported. Communications consultant Prue MacSween added, “She’s such an urban terrorist herself, she’ll fit right in.”

Online users echoed those sentiments. “Let’s hope it’s a one-way voyage,” a commenter wrote.
