Harvard President Claudine Gay is set to tender her resignation shortly, making her tenure the shortest in the university’s history, according to the Harvard Crimson. Gay recently came under fire for refusing to acknowledge that calling for the death of Jews on campus was against the code of conduct. However, it was not her awkward stance on genocide that resulted in her forthcoming resignation. The Harvard Corporation issued a statement soon after her congressional upset, stating that it unanimously supported her remaining in the position.

Soon after her appearance in front of Congress, it was discovered that she had significantly used other academics’ work and presented it as her own. Claims of plagiarism were dismissed as nothing more than “inadequate citations” despite the fact that students have been removed from the institution for similar “inadequacies.”
