Lake Oswego Police have arrested eight men in connection with a human sex trafficking mission including a Vice Principal from Centennial High School. During the operation, law enforcement officers posing as decoys were contacted by men who offered to pay money in exchange for the decoys performing requested sexual acts. Eight men ultimately responded and agreed to meet with the decoys. Police say the men were subsequently arrested and charged with the relevant crimes.

Terrance A. Schloth from Gresham, a Vice Principal from Centennial High School, initially gave a false name and refused to identify himself. Police say was taken to the Clackamas County Jail to get a positive identification. Schloth was charged for commercial sexual solicitation and the additional charge of giving false information to a peace officer in connection with a citation.

The Centennial School District issued a statement to KATU News Saturday afternoon.

"On Friday, March 24, 2023, Centennial School District administration was informed of the arrest and pending criminal investigation against Mr. Terrance Schloth of Centennial High School (CHS). Following District protocol, Mr. Schloth was placed on administrative leave and public information was provided to CHS staff and families. District leaders will cooperate with the authorities and provide relevant details as they become available. Given this is a personnel matter still under investigation by the authorities, the District cannot provide additional details. Centennial School District remains focused on the academic and social well-being of its students and is committed to ensure they have a safe and secure learning environment."

The following men were also cited and released for commercial sexual solicitation.

Officials say in Clackamas County, sex buyers are sometimes eligible for diversion programs where they attend educational training.

The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office along with the Oregon City Police Department, the Milwaukie Police Department, and Sandy Police Department assisted the Lake Oswego Police Department in the operation.
