Ben Shapiro put out his two cents worth this morning on the debt ceiling deal negotiated by Kevin McCarthy and the White House.
In short, he suggests the deal is a success compared to Biden’s demand for a clean debt increase:
I’m honestly inclined to agree with him here. I would also add that I think McCarthy did a pretty good job with this debt ceiling fight. He got a debt ceiling agreement passed in the House and that allowed him to put serious pressure on the White House. He never capitulated to their pressure to pass a clean debt increase and kept demanding they come to the table. He won and they finally did begin negotiations.
Compare this to what a very weak Boehner did in 2014, giving Obama and the Democrats the clean debt ceiling increase they demanded.
