In a quote tweet today, U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attempted to reignite her feud with Elon Musk.
The pair had a number of exchanges last year and as of right now, Musk has not responded to her latest dig at him.
Ocasio-Cortez has been vocal about the situation where a homeless man was killed by a marine who was attempting to restrain him after he was allegedly being hostile to passengers on an NYC subway.
As the homeless man, Jordan Neely, was a black man, and the marine, identified as Daniel Penny, was a white man, much of the discussion around what happened has been centered on race.
Penny has not been charged in the death as of yet, although New York elected officials have said the incident is still under investigation.
Musk responded to a tweet that shared 2018 statistics of interracial crime incidents and mocked the media for focusing on white people on black people incidents when they are statistically smaller.
“Odd, why would the media misrepresent the real situation to such an extreme degree?” Musk wondered.
Left-wing journalist Aaron Rupar shared a screenshot of the exchange in a tweet and quipped, “Elon Musk is out here posting crude racism on main.”
Ocasio-Cortez then brought Mike Lindell into the equation in a quote tweet of Rupar as she claimed, “At this rate he’s gonna be begging for MyPillow ad buys in no time.”
In response, one Twitter user told Ocasio-Cortez, “He ain’t gonna date you, girl,” which is in line with responses that Musk has given her in the past.
