In an interview on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” on Tuesday, comedian Roseanne Barr called out ABC for its double standard over Jimmy Kimmel and Joy Behar previously appearing in blackface.
Barr insisted that she should have been given an opportunity to go on various programs to defend the tweet she made about former Obama lackey Valerie Jarrett that led to her firing.
“I’m being used by a political machine which has exposed itself over the interceding five years since,” Barr explained.
Co-host Harris Faulkner asked, “And now you say what to them?”
“I say, you should’ve allowed me to go on your other news shows, particularly those ones hosted by people who have done blackface and you never fired them,” Barr insisted.
Barr then noted, “Joy Behar did blackface, you didn’t fire her. Jimmy Kimmel and his girlfriend Sarah Silverman, they did blackface and you never even said it was wrong that you did that, you know, they just let that go.”
The Daily Beast came to Kimmel’s defense after Barr’s comments by pointing out that he did make a tweet that somewhat defended her after the incident.
Kimmel did catch a lot of flack in the replies, but clearly, everyone has moved on and that was the end of it.
