“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic mocked Donald Trump for a “glitch” in his mouth after the former president’s rambling and slurry performance during Monday’s interview with Elon Musk.

The discussion was marred by technical problems on X early on, which Musk claimed was part of a denial-of-service attack on his company while Trump’s backers, such as RNC co-chair Lara Trump, claimed the “deep state” was behind it.

“That’s right, only the deep state could make Elon Musk’s website suck,” Lydic said sarcastically. “But if there’s a deep state trying to silence Donald Trump, you suck at your job, OK? Because he is the opposite of silent. There is no one more un-silent than Donald Trump right now.”

Lydic then delivered a message straight to the deep state.

“Do better!” she said.

When he was president, Trump often complained that a vague and shadowy “deep state” operation within the government was working to undermine him.
