


President-elect Donald Trump is calling for an investigation into famed Iowa pollster J. Ann Selzer, whose final poll of the state incorrectly found Vice President Kamala Harris with a lead.
“A totally Fake poll that caused great distrust and uncertainty at a very critical time,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social website on Sunday. “She knew exactly what she was doing.”
Selzer’s poll, released days before the election, found Harris with a three-point lead in Iowa.
Trump won the state by 13 points.
Selzer, who was known for her accuracy until this year’s miss, announced this weekend she was done with polling and moving on to “other ventures.”
Trump shared the announcement and accused Selzer of “possible ELECTION FRAUD,” adding: “An investigation is fully called for!”
Trump has long pushed disproven and discredited claims of fraud over the 2020 election, which he lost. This may be the first time he is claiming fraud in an election where he actually won.
Critics on social media warned that with the Justice Department at his disposal, Trump will soon have the power to make investigations such as this actually happen:
