President-elect Donald Trump is quickly filling out key roles for his new administration following his defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris in last week’s presidential election.

The week kicked off with a flurry of intended nominations, including Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for secretary of state, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) for U.S. ambassador to the United Nations and former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) to lead the Environmental Protection Agency. He’s also selected campaign manager Susie Wiles as his White House chief of staff and immigration hard-liner Stephen Miller as his deputy chief of staff for policy.

Trump is also set to visit the White House for a meeting with President Joe Biden on Wednesday.

Trump Team Drafting Executive Order So He Can Fire Military Generals En Masse

A draft of an executive order reviewed by the Wall Street Journal Tuesday would, if signed by Trump once he takes office, allow him to fire military generals and admirals en masse.

The order would create a “warrior board” tasked with reviewing three and four-star officers and identifying those “lacking in requisite leadership qualities.”

According to the Journal, an external group working with the transition team drafted the order.

Trump’s former chief of staff, John Kelly, warned in October that Trump is a fascist who craves unchecked power and once asked Kelly why he couldn’t “be like the German generals” who “were totally loyal to [Hitler].”
