Less than 24 hours after Donald Trump’s inauguration, his administration has taken down the Spanish-language version of the official White House website — making it that much more difficult for those seeking information on the president and the White House in Spanish.

The site, whitehouse.gov/es/, now says “404 Page Not Found” with an illustration of the White House. The button that redirects users to the English-language webpage initially said “Go Home” before changing to “Go To Home Page.”

At the beginning of his first term, President Donald Trump made a similar change to the Spanish language site, which was revived when Biden took office. The Bush, Obama and Biden administrations all maintained a Spanish version of the official White House site, regularly updating it for Spanish-speaking Americans looking for resources from the federal government.

A White House spokesperson did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment.

The site removal comes after Trump used his campaign rallies and inauguration speech to spew hateful, xenophobic rhetoric and subsequently signed multiple executive orders that will overhaul existing border policy and upend the lives of immigrants and their children.

The Spanish language site is not the only page getting removed by Trump’s team. His administration has also taken down a government website meant to help women find health care and get informed on reproductive rights. The White House’s official website has also dropped a contact form created by the Biden administration that asked users for their pronouns and has removed all HIV and LGBTQ-related content, GLAAD reported.
