Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will face each other for the first time at a presidential debate Tuesday.

The event, hosted by ABC News, will take place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia at 9 p.m. Eastern. David Muir and Linsey Davis will moderate, and there will be no audience in the room.

This will be Trump’s first debate since he went up against President Joe Biden in June. Biden’s shaky performance sparked a wave of calls for him to step aside as the Democratic nominee, which he eventually did, allowing Harris to secure the party’s nomination.

The debate comes as rhetoric heats up between the candidates’ two running mates: the Republican vice presidential nominee, Sen. JD Vance (Ohio), and the Democratic vice presidential nominee, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Trump Shares What It Would Take For Him To Accept Potential 2024 Election Defeat

In a new interview with New York Magazine released this morning, Trump suggested he would only accept a potential defeat in the upcoming presidential race if he was confident in the election result.

"It’s a lot easier to concede than to say that you won and go and prove it when the system is against you," Trump said. "All I’m asking for is an honest election."

Trump also downplayed the suggestion that bringing back his former adviser Corey Lewandowski signaled his disappointment with the current state of his campaign.

"I just like him. Corey’s a character,” he said. “But I’m very happy with everybody.”
