NextImg:Tim Walz Reveals Hilariously Petty Way He Uses Elon Musk To ‘Boost’ His Mood

Tim Walz is sharing his new favorite way to indulge in a little self-care.

The Minnesota governor and running mate of former Vice President Kamala Harris posted a video to X, formerly Twitter, Tuesday that seemed to get under Elon Musk’s skin.

In the video, Walz explains to an audience at a town hall event in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, that he recently added Tesla to his iPhone’s stock app, and checks the price of Musk’s company whenever he needs “a little boost during the day.”

The tactic instantly prompted laughter and applause from the crowd thanks to the electric car company’s value plummeting since its peak price of nearly $480 per share in December.

“$225 and dropping!” Walz said, a reference to the price that Tesla closed with on Tuesday, the Daily Beast reports.

It should be noted that the outlet also reported that Tesla’s price did rise a bit on Wednesday, to $233.

Walz then went on to offer another bit of self-care advice to Tesla owners who are feeling a bit of buyer’s remorse since the unelected tech billionaire began hacking away at the federal government with about as much precision as an unelected tech billionaire wielding a chainsaw.

“And if you own [a Tesla], we’re not blaming you. You can use dental floss and pull the Tesla thing off,” Walz said, referring to the car’s brand decal.

Walz’s anti-Tesla jokes seemed to rub Musk the wrong way, because on Tuesday he responded with a rebuttal of his own, which seemed to lack the bite of Walz’s diss.

“Sometimes when I need a little boost, I look at the @JDVance portrait in the @WhiteHouse and thank the Lord ????,” Musk wrote on X, while retweeting Walz’s tweet.

And although we’re unsure how looking at a portrait of Vice President JD Vance will help with Musk’s flailing business empire, here’s just hoping it doesn’t inspire Musk to start an eyeliner company.
