NextImg:Tiger Woods Mocked For Absurd Request After Announcing He's Dating Don Jr.'s Ex
LOADINGERROR LOADING

Tiger Woods was thoroughly roasted on social media Sunday night for a bizarre request he made after announcing he has found a new romance.

The golf legend confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the former daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump and ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

He posted two photos with his new girlfriend along with this message: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together.”

But, considering Woods has about 6.4 million followers on X, it was the next sentence in his post that inspired much internet mockery.

At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts,” he said.

Not surprisingly, many people were happy to educate Woods on the inherent contradiction in his post.

Tiger asking for privacy for dating Don Jr ex wife is an all time ridiculous request. https://t.co/ZUyvLHvdvX

Announce relationship to 6.4 million followers…ask for privacy.

Sure buddy. https://t.co/dANNRoTX4G

I love Tiger. One of my lifetime sports heroes. But posting this…and then asking for privacy… only guarantees the opposite will happen. He’s knows this. So why do it? ???? https://t.co/8yghjYiTwV

Tiger posting pics, saying “love is in the air” and then asking his 7 million followers for privacy made me legit LOL. https://t.co/YbOtzNDGLB

???? Hey look at my relationship - hey why are you looking at my relationship

Slightly confused on seeking and asking for privacy but yet posting an intimate picture of you both, that was clearly meant for reactions.

No better place to ask for privacy than the Internet

I hope the 8 million+ people that have seen this comply. ???? https://t.co/PLSZiaAa0c

Is that why you're posting it on social media? For privacy? pic.twitter.com/RBWClYtze1
