“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic said most Democratic protests against President Donald Trump have been “breaking the cringe-o-meters.”

Lydic played clips of protesters singing out of key and doing odd dances in opposition to the president.

“Is this how white ladies protest now?” she asked. “I demand to dance for the manager!”

She also slammed Democratic leaders for an inept response to Trump, such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom starting a podcast.

“I can’t believe they rebuilt LA that fast,” she snarked. “Glad you have the time!”

In Washington, she said Democratic lawmakers are trying to fight Trump with “a little resistance wordplay” such as coming up with new definitions of DOGE.

“This is what happens when you’re the party of liberal arts majors,” she said. “MAGA stormed the Capitol, and Democrats are doing creative writing exercises.”

But Lydic found one Democrat worth praising: Maine Gov. Janet Mills, who she said “took it to Trump face to face” during a White House event when the two went at it over trans athletes.

“She made it clear that she wasn’t gonna comply with any of his bullshit,” Lydic said, then played the testy exchange between Trump and Mills that included Mills saying she’ll see him in court.

“I look forward to that, that should be a real easy one,” Trump countered.

“Should be for me,” she fired back.

“Yes!” Lydic said after playing the clip. “That’s how you do it. Forget singing. Forget dancing. This is how you confront Trump: with tipsy aunt energy.”
