A book with a title that includes words similar to those found on shell casings near the body of slain insurance executive Brian Thompson has climbed to second on Amazon’s nonfiction bestseller list, CNN reported Tuesday.

The words “deny” “defend” and “depose” were found on the ammunition near where an assailant gunned down UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The terms are used by critics to summarize insurance industry strategies to dismiss claims in order to maintain profits.

An X account appearing to belong to the book’s author, Rutgers Law School professor emeritus Jay Feinman, said Amazon had temporarily run out of paperback copies but they were still available on Kindle.

Feinman declined comment to the cable news outlet.

The surge in sales added to other unexpected developments amid the arrest of 26-year-old Luigi Mangione in connection to the shooting on Monday. He was reportedly found with a manifesto critical of the insurance industry and had been profoundly affected by a back injury, those who know him said.

Many on social media reacted to the street execution with jokes about the insurance business and callousness toward the victim. Some even expressed romantic feelings for the suspect.

“Deny, Defend, Depose” also became a merchandising meme.
