Stephen Colbert on Tuesday mocked President Donald Trump for serving up what he described as yet another “heaping helping of word goulash.”
Trump’s tribute to the World Series-winning Los Angeles Dodgers during the team’s White House visit this week took an awkward turn when he rambled on about players overcoming injuries.
Trump said: “When you ran out the healthy arms — you ran out of really healthy — they had great arms, but they ran out. It’s called sports. It’s called baseball in particular. And pitchers, I guess you could say, and really particular.”
Colbert played the clip of Trump on “The Late Show,” then mimicked a baseball umpire, shouting: “His brain is out of here!” ― earning applause from his audience.
