“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert mocked Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) for her “weird rant” against PBS for producing a documentary about trans youths.
Greene and others on the right want to cut off funding to the broadcaster, although at least one conservative witness speaking before Greene’s subcommittee didn’t seem to know what was even on the network.
So Colbert offered a helpful primer as he described the shows, including one he said was especially relevant to Greene.
″‘Martha Speaks’ teaches kids that if you feed a dog alphabet soup, the letters will go into its brain and then the dog will know how to speak English,” Colbert said. “Which coincidentally is also how Marjorie Taylor Greene learned to talk.”
