“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert said at least some Americans who voted for President Donald Trump are now suffering from “buyers’ remorse” given the combination of rising prices and political chaos.

“Kinda hard to feel a lot of sympathy for them,” Colbert said. “They ordered the turd soup, and then said, ‘waiter, there’s turds in my soup.’ Then they came back four years later and asked, ‘y’all still have that turd soup?’”

Colbert said Trump campaigned on a promise to cut prices on his first day in office.

More than a month later, prices continue to rise, especially eggs.

“Meaning this year’s Easter egg hunt is gonna be ‘The Purge,’” he warned.
