“She became the presumptive nominee in 48 hours,” the “Late Show” host chirped. “To put that in perspective, it’s been more than 3 years and we still don’t have a new James Bond.”
Meanwhile, the comedian found a new statesman role for Biden following his withdrawal from the election,
He played a clip of Biden pledging to Harris by phone that he’ll do what he can to help her win. “I’m watching you, kid. I love you,” he declared.
Said Colbert: “He’s an inspiring disembodied voice inspiring the next generation to defeat the dark side. He’s Joe B Wan Kenobi!”
