NextImg:Seth Meyers Never Wants Trump To Say These 2 Words ‘Ever Again’

Seth Meyers, on Monday, took exception to Donald Trump saying two particular words during what the “Late Night” comedian described as the president’s “completely indecipherable comments” about the California wildfires.

Trump on Friday visited some of the devastation caused by the blazes and rambled about trees being OK because they are “loaded with water,” “suck the water out of the ground” and “absolutely living” because they are “soaking wet.”

“Stop saying the trees were ‘soaking wet,’” Meyers demanded of Trump.

“Yes, trees absorb lots of water and have a higher combustion point than dry brush that is already dead. It’s like saying people in the gym are in better shape than the ones in the graveyards. But that is just a basic scientific fact about how plants work that has no relevance to the wildfire response,” he continued.

“I never want to hear Donald Trump or anyone say the words ‘soaking wet’ ever again,” Meyers warned. “I said ‘wetness’ a couple of sentences back, and I’m a little mad at myself. Sounds like a DJ doing a promo for a wet T-shirt contest for trees.”
