Selma Blair had a special man at her side during the Vanity Fair 2025 Oscar Party.

The actor walked the red carpet with her service dog, Scout — her constant companion and a lifeline for someone living with multiple sclerosis.

Blair looked glam in sparkling black Monique Lhuillier while her well-trained English Labrador stayed close by.

Inside the affair at Beverly Hills’ Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, Scout took time out of his assisting gig to cuddle with stars like Chrissy Teigen, Michael Keaton, Laverne Cox and Justin Theroux.

While Scout was the sweetest boy during the party, the “Hellboy” actor’s furry helper is also an essential part of her support system and ability to be independent as a person living with a disability that can impact her mobility.

Blair previously spoke to People about what “a tremendous gift” her service animal has been to her.

“He’s with me all the time,” she told the magazine back in 2022. “If I fall into a big [muscle] spasm or have some trouble moving and need to recalibrate, he can get between my legs, help me get up, and balance me. It’s given me a lot of independence.”

While Scout was down for some pets during the party, it’s important to remember service dogs are on the job when you see one out in the world.

Trying to play with someone’s service animal could distract them from their main responsibilities and accidentally lead to someone getting hurt.
