Scarlett Johansson isn’t letting “Saturday Night Live” star Michael Che have the last laugh.
In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the “Avengers” actor teased plans for revenge on Che, who made her husband, Colin Jost, deliver a vulgar joke about her during a December segment of “Weekend Update.”
The cringeworthy moment unfolded during a Weekend Update segment when Jost read out a joke about Costco removing the roast beef sandwich from its menu.
“But I ain’t trippin’, I’ve been eating roast beef every night since my wife had the kid,” he said, all while Johansson watched backstage.
Cameras caught the star’s horrified reaction in real time and the moment instantly went viral.
Looking back on the incident, the star told Vanity Fair, “I had all these cameras on me. I didn’t expect the setup to be like that. I was like, ‘Wow, you really are seventh-, eighth-grade boys.’ ”

Now, Johansson is ready to get back at Che. “I feel like it’s almost my responsibility to come up with some way to burn Michael back. Retaliation, I’d say, should be expected,” she said with a grin. “Others on the show could support this desire. Know what I mean?”
And it looks like the star will have the perfect payback opportunity when she hosts “Saturday Night Live” on May 17.
Johansson first spoke about Che’s antics in a March InStyle interview, calling the joke “so vulgar” and “old-school gross.”
