President-elect Donald Trump is scheduled to be inaugurated Monday in Washington, D.C.
The swearing-in ceremony for Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance has been moved inside the U.S. Capitol due to the freezing temperatures forecast in the nation’s capital.
“I don’t want to see people hurt, or injured, in any way,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Friday.
Several events are planned in the lead-up to Monday’s ceremony, including a rally at Washington’s Capital One Arena featuring remarks from Trump and key members of his inner circle.

Trump plans to launch a mass deportation plan on Tuesday, starting with major immigration raids in Chicago, sources familiar with the plans told The Wall Street Journal. The raid is slated to go all week and involve up to 200 officers deployed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
