Music lovers, it’s that time of year again. The biggest and brightest names in the industry will be honored on Wednesday at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards at New York’s UBS Arena.

This year, the annual ceremony will be hosted by Megan Thee Stallion, who’s also pulling double duty as a performer. After an opening performance from Eminem, breakout stars Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and GloRilla, plus Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, LL Cool J, Shawn Mendes and more will hit the stage.

Katy Perry will receive the coveted Video Vanguard Award and perform a career-spanning medley of her biggest hits ahead of her next studio album, “143.”

Taylor Swift leads the pack of nominees this year with 12 nods, followed by Post Malone, who has 11. Others with multiple nominations include Ariana Grande, Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, SZA, Usher, Tyla and Victoria Monét.

With a star-studded night ahead, there’s no telling what surprises are in store and which artists will emerge as the biggest winners.

HuffPost reporters and editors will be covering the show live. Stay tuned here for more updates.

Flavor Flav Gave Jordan Chiles The Sweetest Gift To Replace Her Olympic Bronze Medal

I love that Flavor Flav has re-entered the pop culture zeitgeist in the most heartwarming way possible because his presenter moment with Jordan Chiles couldn’t have been more perfect. After being stripped of her Olympic bronze medal (over an insane technicality), the “Flavor of Love” star gifted the gymnast her very own bedazzled bronze clock on stage — one that can’t be taken away. And he said he has her prize money, too?! That would’ve made my entire year. After everything Chiles went through during and after the Olympics, she deserves this.

Eminem’s Wig Is The Star Of His MTV VMAs Performance

Listen, I feel like it’s my duty to talk about Eminem’s wig in his opening song at the start of the MTV Video Music Awards. If you had missed seeing Eminem and his close-cropped ‘do in the last few years, he seemingly revived it for one night only — one song only! — at the awards show. The rapper has been rocking dark hair and a dark beard for a while now, but I guess he felt the need to pay homage to the look that helped him become famous. The wig was kinda lifted up in the back and starkly contrasted his dark beard (which also kinda look freshly dyed?) hey, you like it, I love it! After seeing Glenn Close in a couple wild wigs in “The Deliverance,” there is absolutely nothing that will shock me when it comes to hair and celebrities at this point.

GloRilla Perfectly Channeled Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes On The MTV Video Music Awards Red Carpet

Ever since GloRilla paid homage to Left Eye at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards, she’s been leaning heavily into her resemblance to the late TLC singer, and her 2024 VMAs look was no different. I love that Glo's committed to honoring Left Eye’s iconic fashion and hair trends so many years after her Left Eye's passing — these braided ponytails are a hit. It’s also scary how similar she looks to Left Eye. You’ll definitely do a double-take.
