This headline goof hit below the belt.

The Chronicle in eastern Connecticut published a headline in its print edition Monday that said Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley had a “herniated dick.”

Mosley has been suffering from a herniated disk in his neck that has kept him out for several games.

The blooper might have gone mostly unnoticed by the internet if not for Whitesnake singer David Coverdale, who shared a photo of the actual headline in print: “Jets’ Mosley Could Return After Bye Week From Herniated Dick In Neck.”

“OUCH!!!” Coverdale wrote.

A Chronicle editor told the New York Post that the newspaper was running a correction.
