Magic Products That Really Work
1
A hair identifier spray that'll make dermaplaning a whole lot easier

It comes with four dermaplaning razors.

Promising review: "The power of the hair identifier's spray is unmatchable. Once you spray in any direction that has hair, it automatically identifies the hair that needs to be removed. It is easily sprayed on and easily wiped off. No extra residue. Comes with four blades, and I say these blades are soft, gentle, and get the job done. Not sure why no one ever thought of coming up with a hair identifier spray. Great value and smells like baby powder. Great quality." — Karine

2
A pair of reusable anti-nausea bands designed to help minimize queasiness

For more info on how to use acupressure for nausea management, check out this guide from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Promising review: "These wrist bands are amazing. I purchased these for a 12-hour plane ride. I usually have nausea and anxiety while flying, but these wristbands had me feeling great. I also used them while whale watching on a rocky boat and once again felt great. With these wrist bands, I am able to enjoy traveling with my mind at ease." — Amazon Customer

3
Some "Coochy" shaving cream that'll condition and moisturize your skin

Promising review: "This stuff is like pure magic!!!! And for $26, I feel like this bottle is massive. Plus, when you use it to shave literally anywhere a little goes a very long way, so this bottle will definitely be lasting me a long time! The scent is immaculate — smells so good I could eat it! It's also super moisturizing and I’ve noticed since using it that I’ve had a lot less razor bumps on my inner thighs! I use it to shave everywhere, not just the “coochie!” — Summer Rogers

4
A cordless automatic curling iron

It's intended for 14"-22" hair.

Promising reviews: "It all started when I found myself meeting up with my friends. I showed up with my hair a mess, so I searched on Amazon for a cordless curling iron that I could use in my car and found this cordless rotating curling iron. I love it!! You can charge it at home or in the car and use it anywhere. Simply switch the direction of the curl." — ✅Maya Acosta✅

"I have thin hair, and keeping a curl is hard. I had previously bought a Dyson Airwarp and felt like this would solve my problems. I watched all the tutorials and invested $100 more in combs, hair clips, and hair products — as per the tutorials, but nothing worked. I ended up returning it and calling it a day. A couple of days ago, I saw this on Instagram, and I immediately went to Amazon to buy it — I use the Tymo straightener and swear by it, so I thought this could work, and boy, it did! I love it, the curls are amazing and hold nicely. For the price, it's an amazing tool." — W.

5
A car visor extender

Promising review: "Driving to and from work has been a pain lately, even with sunglasses on. Being short, my regular car visor was not shielding the low sun. This shield cuts the glaring rays without inhibiting my vision. Perfect." — Kim

6
A nonstick four cup egg frying pan

Promising review: "This pan is incredible. If this pan started to wear out after only a year of using it, I would buy it again because I have used this pan every single day this year and it performs the same today as it did when I first bought it. I've made all kinds of things in this pan (mostly eggs), but I have made mini frittatas with fresh veggies, I've made perfect sunny side up, over easy, over medium, and well done eggs. I've cooked burgers in this, a variety of pancake types, bacon bits, and chorizo. This pan cooks perfectly on medium-low. It is so easy to clean. This pan has changed my life and I talk about this pan to everyone I know. Sounds ridiculous, but it is just that awesome." — John C.

7
A cuticle oil pen to make keeping 'em moisturized

Promising review: "This is by far my favorite nail care product! The pen makes application easy, and I love the subtle scent (hard to describe but undeniably delicious!) My nails feel strong and healthy, and it's also helped with growth. When opening the pen for the first time, make sure to click carefully. I got impatient and started unscrewing it, which caused oil to spill everywhere! That was definitely my fault though, just remember to be patient when clicking the pen for the first time. Overall a 10/10 product, would recommend!" — Liah

8
A flat hair clip so that you can give your neck a little rest

Promising review: "I was getting so tired of the headaches that claw clips gave me, as well as the daily annoyance of not being able to lean my head back. I hated having the clips bang on the headrest in the car. These are perfect! They allow you to put your head back in the car, on the couch, or in bed. Plus, they really hold your hair, even if it’s thin like mine. Cute colors as well! Get these!!" — Jeanne Johnson

9
An adjustable backless adhesive bra

Promising review: "I really liked this bra! I wore it to a wedding where I was the Maid of Honor and I had no issues with this bra for the 8-10 hours that I had it on! It sticks well and I didn’t feel any peeling or slipping the entire time, which allowed me to keep my focus entirely on the wedding! The lift it creates with the pull strings was really nice as well. I’m an A cup, so it’s rare that I find a bra that actually gives me some cleavage! Several of the other bridesmaids even asked me about it since it worked so well. Highly recommend!" — Lauren

10
Or some double-sided booby tape

BTW, I'm a dancer and just bought this for a dance performance I have coming up, so I'll be back to review. Fingers crossed I get through this five-minute hip-hop routine in a cleavage-heavy bralette without my entire left boob falling out.

Promising reviews: "The amount of TRUST I had in this boob tape and it did not let me down!!! I danced my butt off at the Eras tour in this top and not a nip slip to be had. 1000/10, buy it!!!" — Skyler Howard

"I wore a VERY deep plunge dress that would have had my boob fall out with any arm movement, so I used just two pieces of this tape — one on each breast, and it worked like magic. My husband and I went to dinner and walked the beach in hot humid weather and the dress stayed perfectly positioned." — Maggie Swanson

Sephora
A Huda Beauty setting powder

Check it out on TikTok!

Promising review: "I am impressed! It gives my skin a stunning matte finish and enhances my complexion. I have very oily skin and this powder holds up really well and does its job. Great coverage and long lasting. I plan to buy another one soon, and I would love to try the pound cake shade this time." — biiinee

A drawing salve for uhh, basically everything

Promising review: "Okay. Maybe TMI, but I get a lot of bumps on my body — be they ingrown hairs, reactions to new products, whatever. I had a boil, cyst, idk? — on my armpit, and nothing would help it drain until I tried this stuff like magic. Put it on at night since it should not be used under a bandage per instructions, but maybe be aware that you might bleed if you have a boil, bite, or something else blood-filled that needs to pop. Recently, I had a badly inflamed ingrown hair on my leg. I could seriously barely walk. I was sobbing uncontrollably in pain. I had tried Neosporin with pain relief, lidocaine ointment, you name it. Nothing was helping.

It was days before my wedding, and I seriously didn’t think I could walk down the aisle in the state I was in. My fiancé remembered I had this little gem in the bathroom and suggested I try it. I was desperate and in excruciating pain, so I figured, why not? Woke up the next morning with blood all over my leg, inside my pants, etc, but the bump(s) had drained, and I could walk again. This stuff literally saved my wedding." — Amazon Customer

A 72-pack of Marée pimple patches

I never understood the hype around pimple patches until I tried these. These are hands down, without a doubt, the BEST acne patches I've ever tried. I don't break out often (thanks to my very complex morning and night skincare routine) but I do get the occasional zit when I get my period. I've had a sample of these sitting in my skincare drawer since the summer and have never touched them because I've tried so many patches from other brands and hated them. I'm not a wild sleeper at all, but ones from other brands always ended up on my pillow, in my hair — everywhere but staying on the pimple on my face, so they never really worked cuz they wouldn't stay on! I was rummaging through my skincare products looking for my Solawave when I saw these. I had a huge zit on my jawline that I was extremely tempted to pop and pick at so I thought what the heck, let me try these. These are magic! I put it on at night and woke up with it still on the zit and the pimple had vanished. I was so shook because I really was not expecting these to work. And they're so cute, I'd literally wear them in public. No zit formed against me shall prosper, as long as I have these! OBSESSED.

Promising review: "Overnight glow-up! I recently tried the BIODANCE Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask, and it’s a treat for my skin! This hydrating overnight hydrogel mask leaves my face feeling refreshed and elastic by morning. While it minimizes pores, the real magic is in the deep hydration it provides. It’s a perfect addition to my nighttime routine. Highly recommend for a glowing complexion!" — Marisa

A Flamingo razor with four five-blade refills
,
Amazon

Promising review: "Ladies, if you're looking for a new razor, stop wasting your time and purchase the Flamingo 5-blade razor right now. I've tried countless other brands of razors — disposable, high-end, you name it...and the Flamingo is by far the very best I've ever used. I'm totally OBSESSED with this razor — the quality of the razor, blades, and mount is superb, and it delivers the closest, smoothest shave ever! Plus, it leaves you feeling moisturized after and never irritated. And, I haven't nicked myself even once with this razor, which is some kind of miracle. You want to try this razor — it just exceeds anything else out there!" — CeCe Silver

The new Pink Stuff "Sqeezy" sponge set to make cleaning up tough grime a breeze

Promising review: "The 'abrasive sponge when cold' or 'squishy when hot' is an awesome feature for the type of scrubbing you want. The Pink Stuff with the sponge does wonders! We have a hideous 30-year-old shower, and although it doesn’t look brand new like I was hoping, it’s ten times better!! This product really does work!" — GreenGoddess

A vented paddle brush by Cécred with a hook
Cécred
,
Cécred

Okay, so we all know that I swear by these products. I haven't tried anything by Cécred that didn't work magic. Hits a Galinda high note, okay, I'm frantically excited. This is the absolute best brush I've ever used. I'm confused as to how it works so dang well. I braid my curly hair up at night into two French braids, so I tested this on my wet hair last night, and it glided through my tangles with ease and without snagging. Plus the brush didn't retain all the water in my hair because of the honeycomb design. I just took the braids out and used it again now that my hair is dry, and I had zero problems getting it to brush through. My favorite thing though is how easy it is to clean. I have dyed red hair which has stained my other brushes, so I was worried that this brush would be totally ruined by my hair dye. BUT, to my surprise, the dye residue or whatever came right off, literally with my fingers. I really love this brush. I also love that I can hang it up because my haircare drawer is filled to the brim. This brush is so worth it.

Ninja's new portable Crispi Air Fryer system

Each air fryer comes with the "PowerPod," two containers (a 4-quart and a 6-quart), and lids. The PowerPod has auto-shutoff and four modes: Max Crisp, Bake, Air Fry, and Recrisp. The "feet" are heat-safe, so you can prop it on any surface without worrying!

Promising review: "I got my Ninja Crisper today and reheated some stuffed bread with feta cheese and spinach, and it did a wonderful job. It was like it just came out of the oven for the first time. Nice and crispy outside, but the inside heated just right. I love that the bottom glass can be covered with the lid it comes with. They come with a metal plate you can put in the glass bottom part, and it actually fits into the lid, so it doesn't get lost. The glass makes a difference in the taste, too. It is a great product and well worth it." — Jennifer

An Xmondo color depositing hair mask by Brad Mondo

Promising review: "Wow, color me impressed! I was hesitant to buy this because, most of the time, anytime a celeb or influencer comes out with their own line of anything, it's mediocre nonsense. But I was swayed after reading the reviews. I had grey hair in the past and used Overtone and another big brand name that you can get at Ulta (I can't remember the brand), and they did an okay job at helping me keep the grey in between salon toner visits. I just recently went back to grey again, and this time, I thought I'd try this one to help between salon visits. Applying it was easy, and I left it on for 20 minutes. As soon as I started washing it out, I was EXTREMELY surprised by just how darn soft my hair was! It's not lying when it calls itself a mask because it rivaled my other hair masks in my bathroom. Better than my Sol de Janeiro mask and better than my Coco & Eve mask. I also noticed that it wasn't straining my bathtub or tiles nor making a big purple mess, which was not the case in the past with other purple 'pigment depositing' grey hair masks. Overall, I'm SO pleased! Brad really pulled it off. Not only is the color output very much like it advertises it will give, but it's not lying when it says it's a nourishing hair mask. Cheers to Brad Mondo!" — Dana

A pillow-shaking alarm clock that'll literally shake you outta bed

Sonic Alert is a small business that specializes in alarm clocks.

Promising review: "This alarm is amazing. The pillow shaker does its job to perfection. The shaker shakes the pillow just right so you don’t wake up startled. The loud alarm is loud enough. I wear a hearing aid to hear everything, and the loud alarm is loud enough that I can hear it without my hearing aid. Must-have for someone with hearing issues so you wake up on time every time." — Scott D.

Check out a TikTok of the MicrowavaBowl in action.

Promising review: "These bowls are high quality and very convenient. They heat up food very quickly and evenly, saving you valuable time and energy. Its ability to heat the food and not the bowl itself is very valuable to me. Prior to this purchase, I would have to use a hot bowl holder to avoid burning my fingers. The size of the bowls are perfect for the dishwasher, making them easy to clean and use. I would highly recommend them to friends and family!" — Alana

A scratch-free scraper tool

Scrigit is a US-based small biz that specializes in scraper tools.

Serendipitously, on the same day as getting these, I also got a bunch of used books in the mail, and you can see from my video [above left] how I was able to scratch off the price tags with some extra help from some hand sanitizer. Saved my nails and did a better job. Can't wait to see what else I do with these little tools!" — angela

A Solawave red light therapy wand that'll help reduce dark spots and fine lines
Amanda Davis / BuzzFeed
,
Amanda Davis / BuzzFeed

Solawave is a LGBTQ-owned small biz based in Los Angeles.

BuzzFeed Shopping editor Amanda Davis loves it! "This. gadget. is. worth it! ???????? Using the Solawave was my first time introducing red light therapy into my skincare routine and the difference in my hyperpigmentation is honestly mind-blowing. The tone of my face is much more even and the dark circles around my eyes have nearly disappeared. Essentially, it's like a mix of a jade roller (which I already love using anyway) and an LED mask in one...with microcurrent/vibration therapy, too. You can apply the specific Solawave activating serum or any conductive gel of your choice (I use a different one, myself!) and it will really absorb the benefits when used with the wand. I only use it once every other day (at night) and it's super relaxing. My skin is always ✨glowing✨ the next day!"

I'm ALL about a glowy, dewy, natural look and this product has helped me achieve that. Plus it's a great serum packed with goodies that your skin will thank you for! It's definitely worth it and I will always recommend this to anyone. I use it twice a day, in the morning as the last step before my makeup routine and at night before moisturizer! If using it during the daytime, don't forget to use sunscreen because its vitamin and natural acid contents make skin a little more susceptible and sensitive to sunlight! Hope this helps :)" — Andrea Velarde

An adorably fun basketball egg separator

Promising review: "At first I thought this was more of just a novelty item and that it wouldn't work well, but once I got it, just in time for Thanksgiving baking, it worked really well. Better than other yolk separators I've used in the past, and it's fun to use. It clips onto the side of the bowl and you drop your egg yolk in. No hassle and it's easy to clean. I definitely recommend it!" — Philip

A Nyx hydrating lip stain or lip IV with instant vitamins

Promising review: "I absolutely love this product! I've been searching for a lipstick stain that doesn’t dry out my lips, and this one is perfect. Even after the shine fades — several hours later — the color stain remains beautifully on my lips. I either reapply or add a light gloss for a fresh look.

I ordered the Hydra Honey shade, and it’s such a gorgeous color. It has quickly become my daily go-to, and I’ve tossed out all my other products after finally finding the perfect hydrating, long-lasting lip stain. Highly recommend — 110%!" — Rar

A portable washing machine

And if you also wish you had a portable dryer, you can check out this one by the same brand!

It comes with a "quick connect" for standard faucet sizes, but if it doesn't fit your sink, you'll need to buy an adapter. Watch the video on the listing for details about installation!

Promising review: "This is hands down one of the best purchases I’ve made for my NYC apartment. We have laundry in the building, but it is a hassle to have to go, find an available machine, and have to wait there while the washing is getting done. Who has time for that in NYC?!

I purchased this is July, it is now the end of October and if it broke down today it would still be worth the price. I got the largest one because two active grown men live in this apartment, and we have a dog who sheds EVERYWHERE so I’m probably doing 8–10 loads per week. No issues yet at all.
The noise level on this thing is very manageable; if you are in another room, you won’t even hear it. It is the loudest in its spin cycle, but nothing too bad.
The only hassle for me is that we have an attached water filter on our faucet, so we have to detach that filter and attach this every time we use it. The process takes maybe 1–2 minutes, so it’s not a deal breaker at all. I’ve been able to wash everything in this — our clothes, bath mats, towels, sheets, duvet covers, etc. When it’s something heavier (such as bath mats), I wash them on their own to avoid very heavy loads.

Overall, I’m VERY happy with this product. Everyone knows finding good housing in NYC is a miracle, and often, the luxury of a washer is something that is not possible. This is a game changer for that." — Amazon Customer
