


MLB merch makers didn’t stay abreast of a big design flaw on the new Texas Rangers hat.
A line of caps from New Era featured the team’s logo superimposed on the team name, but that combo created the word “TETAS” ― slang in Spanish for “boobs.”
The hat was removed from MLB’s shopping site and others but most of the gimmicky line remained for sale. Other awkward names included “ASHOS” for the Houston Astros and “ANAELS” for the Los Angeles Angels. (Here’s the whole collection.)
MLB declined comment on the Texas gaffe and team officials were apparently unaware of the design, Sports Illustrated reported.
Some fans might recall the A’s making an “Ass” of themselves on a hat design last year, as noted by The Athletic.
